Our crazy idea to spend a lot of time on something that's already been invented!

But we think we can do it better-faster-cheaper!
03.19.02 More Time = More Work!
Matt begins work on the MP3 player again after I show him an article in PC World about similar console-size living room mp3 players that run on Linux.  See our idea wasn't so stupid after all!  Anyways Matt begins improving the code after getting the poor thing to boot again (guess we let it sit around and it got lonely), and we have a couple new screenshots of some new stuff.  Yay new features!  Unfortunately there are no new hardware improvements as of yet since Jim has entered the world of PHP coding, but look for some sort of cool controller (and hopefully IR support) in the future over spring break.  P.S: Studying for a history final is like preparing for the past.

OK not too exciting... just wait...

Searching the network for SMB shares with MP3's!  This takes a lot of memory though

Choose the source you want to play from.

Playing from a network share - the blurred title in the picture is from it scrolling across the top row.

Hit the Number Lock button and you get to this menu. Music continues to play (you'll have to take my word for it though).
